Originally bred to assist fisherman and as the name suggests, PWD’s love the water but by no means do they need to live by it. They are a single-coated breed making them very hypoallergenic and come in either a curly or wavy coat and usually are black or brown solid or mixed with white markings. They are an intelligent, feisty, and loyal breed. They are easily trained and love to please. They are great with kids, adults and other dogs alike.
